Building on previous experience with apartment greening initiatives, TGC undertook an ambitious pilot program in partnership with Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC) with the goal to work with tenants of a selected building in Etobicoke to reduce waste and increase recycling rates. The project fits well with TCHC’s Green Plan objectives, while saving money through lower trash disposal costs. This success can continue to be multiplied through an expansion of the program across its operation.
