The Canadian Boreal Forest Agreement. Greenpeace is closely monitoring the situation and pushing for improved logging to be recognized with Forest Stewardship Council certification.
Greenpeace has played a leading role in the development of the historic Canadian Boreal Forest Agreement.
Greenpeace wants GE trees banned. As an interim measure, we recommend a global moratorium on commercial and large-scale experimental releases of GE trees. Far more testing is needed before GE foods and other organisms are released.
