Greenest City’s gardens and urban agriculture programs offer our diverse community the support, education and space needed to produce locally grown food. The programs build community, expand opportunities and improve participant health. Our Community Gardens include the HOPE Garden, a 4,000 square foot organic food garden that has animated and tranformed Masaryk Park. The garden brings together individuals, families and agencies in Parkdale that would not otherwise have access to space for growing food. More than a garden, HOPE is an outdoor community centre where participants have opportunities to make new friends, eat and celebrate the harvest, develop new skills and share cultures.
